The Data Center Controls Engineering team is looking for exceptional individuals to join our Controls organization as a Controls Technician for Service & Construction of the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) within client data centers.

The candidate will possess technical background and experience in installation, troubleshooting, operations and / or maintenance of field sensors, controllers, wiring, networking and programming associated with the industrial controls systems.

The candidate may also have relevant experience operating and maintaining mission critical electrical and mechanical systems.

A Controls Technician shall be responsible for participating in the installation, testing, troubleshooting and startup of equipment and controls system associated with the BMS and EPMS system deployment in the data centers.

A Controls Technician is expected to actively innovate on behalf of their customers in the area of Data Center building automation.

Typical Day in the Role

75% prescriptive tasks following runbooks with 15-20% commissioning support

Their work spans from pre-construction verification through system provisioning and handoff to commissioning teams.

Key responsibilities include verifying installations per client specifications, conducting point-to-point checkouts, provisioning proprietary control systems, and ensuring proper communication between all system components.

The role requires travel between multiple data center sites within the same region, typically spending one full day per site.

Candidate Requirements :

• Must haves : - Controls background at least 1 year experience - preferred 3+ years
• Had VMS Hvac control experience
• Modbus protocol knowledge
• Familiarity with Distech systems, MQTT protocols, and various sensor types
