Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200-$2360

Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract

Location : Silver City, NM 88061 (New Mexico nursing jobs)

Facility Type : Critical Access Hospital (25 beds)

Unit : LDRP, Mother / Baby, Couplet Care, Level I Nursery

Start Date : November 10, 2025 (ASAP start available)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shifts : 4x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM); weekend shifts required

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Scrub Color : Royal blue

Parking : Free onsite

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or multi-state compact license

At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (LDRP, Mother / Baby, Couplet Care, Nursery)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate

Experience with Meditech or similar EMR systems preferred

Ability to work weekends and some holidays as needed

Must be able to arrive at facility within 30 minutes if on-call

First-time travel nurses welcome

Travelers must live at least 70 miles from Silver City, NM

Smoke / nicotine-free healthcare campus

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, Mother / Baby, Couplet Care, and Level I Nursery units

Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries

Conduct antepartum assessments, APGAR scoring, and provide newborn care

Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to other nursing units as required per hospital policy

Maintain compliance with hospital and Joint Commission standards
