Essential Job Summary :
The Assistant Manager of Site Operations supports the Site Manager by directing the day-to-day operations of a single depot. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining performance and productivity metrics, as well as implementing cost management process. Acting as a key point of contact on the site for various operational aspects, will step in to lead the depot when the site manager is unavailable.

Requirements and Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of work experience (in addition to education requirement) in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations in which coaching, routing assessments and leading employees is required. Associate's degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience. Experience handling employee grievances and conducting investigations. Prior experience in environmental services a plus. Experience overseeing business plans, developing and tracking budgets. Demonstrated ability to use a data-driven approach to decision making. Leadership capabilities working across a matrix organization. Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications. Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results. Proven experience meeting business commitments, driving change and implementing process improvements. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Analytical and critical thinking skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software. Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather. Proven experience in managing labor relations in a unionized environment. Excellent computer skills with the ability to handle multiple programs and systems. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally via e-mail, telephone and 2-way devices. Must have desire and ability to learn the company's software applications (samsara, tower, routeware, Power BI, SharePoint, etc.).
