Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse contract

Unit : Cardiac Stepdown – Observation Unit

Start Date : December 8, 2025

End Date : March 7, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2130 - $2190

Hours per Week : 48 hours (4x12 hour shifts)

Shift : Rotating Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Holidays, On Call, and Charge as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State (NY RN License required)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Telemetry nursing experience required

BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

ACLS certification (AHA only)

NIHSS certification preferred

Travel RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to adults in a fast-paced cardiac stepdown and observation unit

Monitor, assess, and deliver clinical support to patients requiring cardiac observation and stepdown care

Care for a diverse adult population, including emergency observation and admitted boarding patients

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and maintain 24 / 7 provider communication

Participate in rotating shift schedules, including on call, call back, charge duties, holidays, and weekends as needed

Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
