Senior Manager, Labor Relations at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you\u2019ll serve as our Lead Negotiator in collective bargaining negotiations and will be responsible for the vision, strategy and tactics to maintain a proactive relationship with union leaders.

The Senior Manager, Labor Relations provides strategic direction on the development, recommendation and implementation of labor relations programs, processes, and policies for represented employee populations companywide. You\u2019ll provide counsel and guidance on complex and sensitive labor relations matters including internal and external union influences, contract interpretation, grievance resolution and other related labor and employment matters

Responsibilities - Develops and implements labor relations policies and procedures.\u00a0
- Develops and executes labor relations strategies in alignment with organizational goals.\u00a0
- Negotiates collective bargaining agreements and managing grievances and arbitrations\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0legal requirements.\u00a0
- Develops and\u00a0maintains\u00a0positive relationships with union representatives, fostering a collaborative working environment.\u00a0
- Develops,\u00a0implements\u00a0and communicates labor and employee relations\u00a0policies,\u00a0practices\u00a0and strategies for the\u00a0Company.\u00a0
- Manages labor negotiations and develops\u00a0strategies for bargaining and contract implementation.\u00a0
- Develops and delivers training programs to promote a positive and respectful work environment.\u00a0
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, project management experience, and the ability to\u00a0present to\u00a0and influence senior leaders.\u00a0
- Experience creating strategies for collective bargaining, gaining executive support for bargaining authority, and leading collective bargaining negotiations.\u00a0
- Ensures service standards of various teams are\u00a0monitored\u00a0and are addressed consistently and fairly by\u00a0establishing\u00a0performance standards, along with team member coaching, and trains to achieve\u00a0appropriate levels\u00a0of performance.\u00a0
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of\u00a0highly sensitive\u00a0information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.\u00a0
Minimum Qualifications - Five\u00a0or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.\u00a0
- Experience\u00a0working\u00a0in\u00a0labor relations in\u00a0unionized environments with multiple bargaining units,\u00a0and\u00a0expert\u00a0knowledge of federal,\u00a0state\u00a0and local employment laws and regulations, or experience working as a labor and employment attorney.\u00a0
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Preferred Qualifications\u00a0 - JD & Litigation experience
- Minimum seven years of experience as Chief Negotiator managing multiple collective bargaining agreements.
- Minimum ten years of experience working in Labor Relations or commensurate law firm/legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of contract, labor, and employment law (NLRA, Board proceedings, etc.)
- Strong background in investigations, grievance, and arbitration with an emphasis on investigations of union workplace complaints preferred.

Additional Information\u00a0\u00a0 - This position\u2019s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
