American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience and required ARRT or RCIS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in a high-acuity, acute care hospital cath lab that is a Level I trauma center and Magnet facilityWork schedule consists of 3x12 hour day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PMCares for middle-aged and older adult cardiac patientsRequired to work 2 to 3 weekends per contract and take on-call as neededPatient procedures include cardiac implant closure, stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, rotablader athrectomy, and scrub proceduresCerner EMR experience is required for chartingPrimary duties include performing cardiac catheterization procedures and maintaining strict infection control practicesScrubs are provided by the facilityParking permit provided at no costCandidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of the contractFloat requirements do not apply for this positionFirst-time travelers are acceptedRequested time off is ideally limited to 5 daysFormer perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before reapplying as a traveler\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year recent cardiac cath lab experience requiredCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications requiredARRT or RCIS certification requiredMust have experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab proceduresAbility to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and utilize sterile techniqueExperience caring for middle-aged and older adults requiredActive IL license required at time of application if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedCerner experience required\n Benefits\n
