RN Clinical Documentation Specialist

A company is looking for an RN Clinical Documentation Informaticist to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitates comprehensive clinical documentation reflective of treatment, diagnosis, and severity of illness

Communicates with physicians and HIM coders to clarify documentation and ensure appropriate MS-DRG assignment

Conducts reviews of patient documentation to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain data integrity

Required Qualifications

Associates RN, RHIA / RHIT, or Bachelor's Degree with experience / certification in Coding / CDI required

BSN preferred

CCDS required after 2 years of hire date

Current RN License required (not limited to AZ)

3-5 years of experience in clinical documentation, coding, or utilization review preferred
