About the Role :
In anticipation of future government awards, GiaCare Inc. is now accepting applications for Nurse Practitioners Psychiatric / Mental Health Practitioners to support Naval Health Clinic (NHCQ) in Quantico, Virginia.
Education and Experience :
- Master’s Degree in Nursing; Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS)Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).Duties :
Deliver patient care consistent with clinical privileges, education, and experienceMaintain productivity comparable to peers and ensure timely, accurate documentationParticipate in peer reviews, performance improvement, and continuing educationMaintain infection control and aseptic technique; follow all safety proceduresRespond efficiently to emergency situations using established protocolsRecognize and manage legal and ethical aspects of patient careSupport the Family Advocacy Program through exams, documentation, and reportingRespect patient rights and maintain professional accountabilityComplete all mandatory annual training, including CBRNE, infection control, and disaster readinessProvide and participate in in-service training for clinic staff and government personnelAttend meetings and participate in command performance improvement initiativesUse government healthcare systems (e.g., CHCS, AHLTA, Essentris, MHS Genesis)Communicate effectively with clinical teams and respond to all official communicationsDocument all care in accordance with regulations and approved abbreviationsProvide deployment health screening for service members in clinic and field environmentsDiagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice and protocolsProvide preventive care, physicals, immunizations, and health counselingConduct evidence-based educational sessions and mentor clinical staffCollaborate with Line Commanders and multidisciplinary teamsPromote health maintenance and positive health behaviorsIdentify cases requiring isolation and apply universal precautionsParticipate in case discussions, safety reviews, and quality improvement activitiesBenefits :
