Position Overview :

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in the Main Operating Room in Rochester, NY. The OR provides care for a wide variety of patients across multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma.

The facility operates two DaVinci robots for multi-specialty procedures and maintains a comprehensive transplant program for liver, kidney, and heart surgeries. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and capable of both scrub and circulating duties.

Responsibilities :

Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during a variety of surgical procedures.

Scrub and circulate for complex cases, including transplant, orthopedic, and specialty surgeries.

Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper handling of instruments.

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Document procedures accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols.

Requirements :

NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist

Minimum 2 years of OR experience ; Level 1 trauma experience preferred

Ability to scrub and circulate across multiple surgical specialties

Certifications Required :

BLS – American Heart Association ONLY
