Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced PHP developer who can produce high-quality code and deliver results within a reasonable timeframe. You will be part of a full-stack development team responsible for the entire software development process from initial specification to testing and launching. We prioritize team players who strive to find optimal solutions to problems. As a member of our development team, you'll bring ideas to life and contribute to new features and products from the ground up.

  • Produce clean and well-structured code, with detailed specifications
  • Collaborate with the team in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Managing source code using git
  • Developing server-side APIs and database structures.
  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
  • Design and implement new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
  • Stay informed about industry best practices
  • Testing and debugging web applications to ensure they meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement for web development
  • Quality, security and performance of the code base
  • Provide broad brush estimates for roadmap planning and finer grained estimates for sprint planning
  • Resolve issues with applications in a timely manner
  • Keep bugs and known security vulnerabilities to a minimum

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • This position is hybrid, primarily working in our office in Cedar Park, TX with the flexibility to work from home 2 days during the week. (candidates must reside in the Austin metro)
  • 3+ years of experience working on in a PHP Developer position
  • Expertise with PHP 8.x (and frameworks such as Slim, CodeIgniter, and Laravel)
  • Solid experience with of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, React, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about Composer, npm, and package management procedures
  • Experience building and interacting with RESTful APIs
  • Comfortable with the concepts and creation of automated tests (unit testing, TDD, integration testing, etc.)
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related area
  • 3+ years in full-stack web development
  • Skilled in CI / CD pipelines and Git and PR processes
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a knack for handling projects end-to-end
  • Bonus skills : Python
