Lead Engineer - Design
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer - Design to join our team at our facility located at 3450 Sam Williams Dr., Ogden, UT 84401. The successful applicant will be responsible for the facility's electrical systems, maintenance, energy, controls / instrumentation, and HVAC needs, ensuring that operations are efficiently maintained by completing project functions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Integrated Manufacturing Process & Product Design Team (IMPPDT) and analyze existing designs driven by corrective actions request (CAR) and redesign based on manufacturing considerations.
- Drives manufacturing considerations, including design to cost and quality, very early in the design process.
- Provide consistent direction and accountability from conceptual design through development into production.
- Create designs to eliminate the need for redesign late in programs to address producibility and functionality.
- Responsible for generating the design, layout, planning, launch plan, tooling, FTPs, etc., necessary for entering production.
- Responsible for process development, DRs, and CARDs, and associated design updates & PPAP before parts are designated as production-ready.
- Ensure non-conforming parts are segregated and managed in compliance with regulatory standards while awaiting review and formal disposition.
- In-depth experience and approved by the customer to perform MRB processes and non-conformance material in metal spinning, hydroforming, turning, milling, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) engaged in turbine engines.
- Ensures employee compliance with the various computerized systems on the factory floor, such as Online Quality Reporting (OQR), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Factory Data Collection (FDC), and other similar programs.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering (U.S. or Foreign) or a related field.2 years of CNC manufacturing processes engineering experience engaged in turbine engines for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.2 years of experience developing the manufacturing processes to create turbine engine parts, from raw materials to finished products, to maximize the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.2 years of experience performing material review board (MRB) processes and non-conformance material, engaged with turbine engines.2 years of experience creating production plans, including operators' work instructions and performing tool design.Williams International is a Drug Free Workplace where all new team members and contractors are subject to preemployment drug testing for the following controlled substances : marijuana, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, opioids and alcohol as policy dictates.
