The Senior Manager, Digital Platform Strategy and Experience is a key leader within the Digital Strategy and Communications team. This role drives the vision and execution of a unified digital platform experience across our digital channels, ensuring seamless collaboration between the digital channels and user experience teams. By designing engaging interactions and overseeing platform strategy, this leader strengthens team member engagement and ensures that every digital touchpoint upholds brand standards. The role also partners with stakeholders to deliver projects that foster customer loyalty and elevate the organization's digital presence.
What You'll Do
Lead the digital experience team in defining and executing design strategies that drive engagement for both internal and external audiences.
Establish and maintain unified design systems that ensure usability, accessibility, and brand consistency across all platforms.
Create and optimize robust governance frameworks that maintain quality and alignment across internal and external digital properties.
Utilize analytics to evaluate experiences, identify gaps, and develop insights into both team member and customer needs and behaviors.
Drive personalization strategies for key audience segments through data-informed design decisions.
Partner with Technology, Marketing, and Operations stakeholders to implement test-and-learn strategies, manage technical implementation, and deliver on communication goals.
Collaborate with our content and editorial strategy team to develop and uphold high-quality content, ensuring an excellent user experience.
Lead and manage our Newsroom, Intranet, Retiree Site, email distribution, digital signage, and emerging digital channels.
Define and track success metrics for all digital touchpoints, articulating outcomes to inform stakeholder decision-making.
Coach and mentor digital design teams in best practices, methodologies, and innovative approaches while strengthening their business acumen.
Partner with Product Owners and Technology support teams to develop and execute product roadmaps that enhance our digital experiences to industry-leading standards.
Act as the voice of internal and external users in leadership discussions, advocating for exceptional digital experiences.
All You'll Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications Education & Prior Job Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
7+ years of experience in design, with at least 3 years of experience leading a team of designers
Preferred Qualifications Education & Prior Job Experience :
6+ years of experience leading design teams and managing stakeholders
5+ years of experience in digital marketing, digital design or customer experience
Comprehensive understanding of Web design such as WordPress, Jive, Unily
Experience with enterprise software and internal communication platforms
Expertise with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Unily, WordPress and TeamSite
Strong background in A / B testing, usability assessments, and personalization
Comprehensive understanding of journey mapping and design thinking methodologies
Experience with agile frameworks and collaborative design techniques
Knowledge of front-end technologies and development constraints
Skills, Licenses & Certification :
Strong portfolio demonstrating complex design solutions for both internal and external audiences
Exceptional analytical ability to evaluate and optimize digital experiences
Outstanding leadership skills : ability to influence without authority and manage cross-functional teams
Expert in using research and insights to drive strategic decisions
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements in digital solutions
Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex ideas clearly to all levels of management
Comprehensive understanding of Web design such as WordPress, Jive, Unily, SharePoint, TeamSite, Google Flutter, etc., and development of best practices
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, user testing, web development, and thorough knowledge of common coding languages and mobile responsive interfaces
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and / or other essential digital design tools, such as Sketch
