Job description

Reliant Staffing Solutions / RSS Medical is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California.

Job Summary (List Format) :

  • Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required
  • Must have cardiovascular, open heart, and balloon pump experience
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 28-bed ICU (average census : 24)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio : 1 : 2
  • Every other weekend shift required
  • No on-call duties
  • Self-scheduling offered
  • Required to wear royal blue scrubs
  • Essential skills :
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • IV insulin protocol management
  • Arterial line management
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line and PICC line care / management
  • Starting IVs
  • Care of ventilated patients
  • ABG interpretation
  • Suctioning
  • Required certifications :
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIH
  • VIP, MAB, or CPI (in-person courses only)
  • 13-week contract duration
