Position Overview

The Production Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the production operations within a food manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves managing staff, maintaining production schedules, and implementing process improvements to meet production goals in the beef processing sector.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
Manage and mentor a team of production staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
Monitor production processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality and address any quality issues promptly.
Conduct regular audits of production processes and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Prepare and analyze production reports to track performance metrics and make informed decisions.

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in food production or manufacturing, with a focus on meat processing.

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Benefits

Annual Compensation : $75,000 - $115,000 / year
