The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining company financial records within the accounting software system and ensuring all records are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. This role reports to the Accounting Manager. LAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivables, and pre-paids.
• Prepare and upload journal entries.
• Maintain and record fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages.
• Maintain Accounts Receivable ledger including invoicing, collections and working directly with customers and internal sales team.
• Support the annual budget process by managing related tools and templates and participating in business strategy meetings.
• Ensures compliance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of MLS related reporting (post-game reporting, etc.).
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist in preparation of audit requests by providing schedules, documentation, and analysis to external auditors.
• Prepare tax-related filings.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Management.

Qualifications

Salary Range : At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
