OverviewWe're seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Speech-Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team. This role blends clinical excellence with mentorship and program development, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of speech therapy services within our organization while maintainging a smaller patient caseload.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct evaluation and treatment for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding / swallowing disorders.
- Serve as a clinical mentor to SLPs and CFs, offering guidance, feedback, and support for professional growth.
- Collaborate with clinicians and medical providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development.
- Review documentation for clinical accuracy and compliance.
- Facilitate team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education sessions.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and integrate them into clinical protocols.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience.
- Strong background in pediatric feeding, oral motor therapy, and AAC preferred.
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Passion for mentorship, collaboration, and patient-centered care.
- Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities in pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and evidence-based practices.
- Implement speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication skills in children.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support the holistic development of each child.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices in speech therapy and patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay current with advancements in speech therapy techniques, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology.
- Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of pediatrics, early intervention strategies, and patient assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech therapy and anatomy knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
