Security Officer - Telecom Patrol

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Aurora, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to security-related situations as needed. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Observe and report any suspicious behavior or incidents encountered during patrols throughout the tech, media, or telecom environment.

Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and / or local authorities as required.

Assist with access control measures and monitor entrances or exits as directed by site-specific procedures.

Maintain accurate and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during patrols.

Support a secure environment by identifying and promptly reporting maintenance or hazard issues discovered during patrols.

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
