Job descriptionPerform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel, and other alloys using SMAW, GTAW, and / or GMAW processes. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine job requirements. Fit, align, and tack-weld pipe components in preparation for final welding. Inspect and test completed welds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper use of tools and consumables. Adhere to OSHA, company, and shipyard safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with pipefitters and supervisors to meet production schedules. Minimum 2–5 years of pipe welding experience in shipyards, industrial plants, or construction. Strong knowledge of welding procedures, codes, and standards (AWS, ASME). Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various environmental conditions. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
