Job Summary
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality respiratory care tailored to each patient's needs. This position involves performing various diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitoring patients on mechanical ventilation.
Your responsibilities include :
Operating acute care ventilators for both short-term and long-term mechanical ventilation.Working independently in the absence of supervisory staff.Maintaining accurate departmental and hospital records.Providing empathetic care and support to patients during procedures.Requirements :
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure in Florida.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire.Graduation from a Respiratory Care program accredited by CoARC.Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move equipment frequently.Critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Customer service skills and effective listening abilities.What you will do :
Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings.Administer respiratory therapies and assist with artificial airway placements.Monitor patients, providing interventions during emergencies as needed.Assist in transporting ventilator-dependent patients safely.Qualifications :
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of starting.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of starting.Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of starting.Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.At our facility, we offer a collaborative work environment where our skilled colleagues excel in patient care.
