About the RoleThe Production Planner is responsible for building and maintaining production schedules, analyzing demand and capacity needs, and coordinating with manufacturing, materials, and logistics teams. This position blends data-driven planning with hands-on communication to keep production running efficiently and support continuous improvement across the site.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and communicate production schedules to meet delivery timelines
Build and manage master production schedules in a manufacturing environment
Analyze demand, inventory, and capacity to optimize workflow
Prepare and release shop work orders; collaborate with production and scheduling teams
Monitor daily production progress and adjust schedules as priorities shift
Create forecasts and analyze trends tied to capacity and peak season planning
Build capacity models and scenario plans for long-term readiness
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure materials and timelines align
Lead or participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives
Serve as a central communication point across production, supply chain, and business teams
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain preferred
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and materials management
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with urgency and ownership
Experience with lean/continuous improvement helpful
APICS, Lean/ELS, or Green Belt certification preferred
Pay Details: $52,000.00 to $69,000.00 per year
