Sheet Metal Installer

Monday - Friday; Pay : $24-$28 / hr.; HVAC start up roles : $29-$34 / hr.

We are seeking a skilled Duct Installer to join our team, responsible for hanging duct work, cutting, measuring, and installing components of HVAC units. This role involves preventive maintenance, including changing filters and belts, testing units, and conducting visual and audio inspections. The installer will also work with sheet metal, using basic hand tools such as hammers and cordless drills, and selecting appropriate materials for each job based on strength requirements.

Responsibilities

• Hang duct work and install HVAC unit components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including changing filters and belts.
• Test units and conduct visual and audio inspections.
• Install and work with sheet metal, using tools like hammers and cordless drills.
• Select materials based on desired or necessary strength.
• Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to required dimensions.
• Measure, cut, and weld pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.
• Connect pieces or secure seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
• Perform assembly line tasks such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.

Work Environment

The role involves working on commercial and industrial job sites. Employees are required to drive their own vehicles to job sites, which are typically within a 30-mile radius, but can extend to 50 miles. Mileage reimbursement is provided for distances outside this range.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 / hr.
