Position summary : Responsible for various tasks and projects to enhance their experience in the field of water resources engineering utilizing their education. Compensation for this position is $21.00 - $26.00 / hourly, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. We notice that we receive a wide variety of applicants and recognize that the person selected may be less experienced or more experienced. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Enter data into systems
Make edits and updates to existing engineering drawings and projects
Coordinate new small-scale projects
Assemble data and research
Assist with administrative duties
Provide input on solutions to problems using basic theories and engineering fundamentals
Assist with layout and design of routine small and medium-sized engineering projects, including storm drain, stormwater management, and erosion and / or sediment control design
Develop and prepare specifications
Perform construction cost estimates
Perform site visits and construction inspections

Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Valid Driver’s License
Required Experience
Preferred Experience
Coursework in fluid mechanics, stormwater hydrology
Previous internship experience
Some working knowledge of Microstation and / or AutoCAD Civil3D
Anticipated graduation with B.S. from an accredited engineering program in Spring / Summer 2027 or Winter 2027 is preferred
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking and site visits which may include standing and walking in uneven terrain. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
