Overview
The Media Project Manager coordinates language / translation and multimedia projects from start to finish, acting as the single point of accountability for successful completion.
Responsibilities
Competency in localization projects including :
E-learning and corporate training material
Flash and online projects
Radio, TV and Internet spots
Animated videos and cartoons
Video and online games
TV and Film
Handle all aspects of multimedia project management with assistance and supervision from Team Lead or Department Manager as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to :
Pre-production : Pre-flight of audio and video projects, reviewing audio / video files, vendor selection, scheduling voice talent, studios, editors and subtitling technicians; providing concise project instructions to all necessary parties.
Production : Recording and audio engineering processes, including setup, file prep and conversion, basic Pro Tools, mic / level checks, slating, takes, and communication with engineers, talents and clients during sessions.
Post-production : Video editing, graphic replacement, subtitling, DVD authoring, basic audio editing, and ensuring final files meet requirements before delivery.
Negotiate rates and deadlines with contract linguists to maximize profitability and project speed.
Communicate issues, delays or additional information to Account Executive and troubleshoot as needed.
Investigate / resolve client complaints and implement systemic changes with QA / Management to prevent recurrence.
Recommend process improvements to management as part of continual improvement.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Media Project Manager, preferably with corporate material.
