We are Hiring a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine!

We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to support a wide range of patient care activities in collaboration with our family medicine residency team. Under the guidance of designated faculty, you’ll play a key role in preventive care, treatment planning, and patient education in a dynamic academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct physical exams and preventative screenings

Evaluate diagnostic tests and formulate care plans

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Manage care plans for follow-up and ongoing treatment

Prescribe medications and recommend therapeutic procedures

Coordinate referrals to specialists and resources

Respond to staff inquiries and perform CPR as needed

Demonstrate leadership, communication, and sound judgment

Provide general patient education on wellness and health maintenance

Participate in selected committees as appointed

Required Education and Experience

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

National certification (AANP or ANCC)

Active or eligible Michigan NP license

ACLS and PALS certification (or ability to obtain)

Clean practice history and insurability for liability coverage

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Two years of experience as an NP or recent graduate

Valid CPR certification (Red Cross or AHA accepted)

Experience in academic or teaching hospital settings
