Lean Promotions Officer
ZF Services, LLC has job openings (multiple) for the position of Lean Promotions Officer based out of its location in Vernon Hills, IL. The salary range is $86,333.52-$101,000 per year. Job Duties :
Lead and coordinate the implementation of the ZF Production System, Plant Lean Evaluation, and Lean Transformation Planning within the facility in Vernon Hills, IL; support the construction of the Lean Transformation Planning and drives, monitors, and controls lean transformation activities, workshops, and events within the facility; evaluate, manage, and execute standardized ZF Production System elements and training to ensure sufficient levels of expertise and competency within the facility staff; promote the identification and elimination of waste from the value stream, to improve operational performance and to create an environment of continuous improvement driven from the top management; train, mentor, and coach the facility staff to achieve the on-time implementation of the Lean Transformation Planning and application of lean principles within the facility; assess the financial impact of continuous improvement projects and prepare a summary for management review of each project; review all continuous improvement projects to assess if the sum of the financial and operational impacts meets company goals.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management / Operations, or closely related field, plus 1 year of experience in a lean implementation role within a manufacturing environment, and demonstrated experience with : Lean concepts and tools including Kaizen Process, Visual Management, 5S methodology, Value Stream Mapping, and Standardized Work, Assembly Line Balancing, Total Productive Maintenance, Machine Changeover Analysis, and Gemba Walks; Structured Problem-solving including A3 problem solving, 5 Why method, and Ishikawa diagram; Teaching technical topics including assembly line balancing, productivity measurement calculations, machine changeover analysis, cycle time recording, production line balancing, and Total Productive Maintenance process; Moderating operational review meetings at shop floor level; MS Excel workbooks to calculate sums, averages, differences, and graphs; Perform time studies and produce statistical analysis of data; Manufacturing bills of material structures; and Manufacturing / assembly processes and technologies of mechanical and electromechanical automotive components using threaded fasteners, retaining rings, and rivets.
