Job description

Job Title : Access Control Technician

Job Length : Contract to Hire

Job Location : Charlotte, NC

Start Date : ASAP (Once Approved)

Pay : W2 Format - Direct Deposit or Check weekly every Friday

Pay Rate : Open pending experience / qualifications

Job Description :

  • Install, program and service electronic Access Control and CCTV systems
  • Maintenance and repair of Access Control systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting Access Control systems
  • Mounting control panels, wiring, card readers and video cameras
  • Commission new systems and train customers in their use.
  • Running low voltage wiring including termination and installation of Cat 5 / 6 cables
  • Mounting and hookup of monitors
  • Ensure job site is clean at the end of shift
  • Work in a quick and efficient manner
  • Follow safety and security procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • Prior experience installing, programing and servicing Access Control and CCTV systems
  • Previous experience with Paxon Card Access and Genetec / Axis Cameras preferred
  • Hand tools and PPE required

    • Essential Functions of the job :

  • Lifting, carrying, adjusting, moving and / or transporting of objects up to 50 pounds
  • Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, maintaining balance and / or crawling for extended periods
  • Pushing and pulling of arms and legs; use of abdominal and lower back muscles
  • Coordinating movements of the eyes, hands, fingers and feet
  • Ascending and descending of stairs, ladders, lifts, etc.
  • Speaking, hearing and seeing to avoid safety hazards
  • Strenuous manual labor

  • Uneven terrain and / or obstacles
  • Interactions with other individuals
