Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Overview : We are excited to invite a talented and meticulous Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will focus on designing and developing high-performance, rugged electronics for mission-critical defense applications, with a strong emphasis on PCB layout and design. If you have experience or an interest in RF circuit and antenna design, that would be a significant advantage.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electronics design and demonstrate the ability to contribute throughout the entire product development lifecycle—from concept and prototyping to production and sustainment.

Clearance : An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. US Citizenship is necessary to obtain a clearance.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in microelectronics design and development, emphasizing PCB layout and design.
• Proficient in design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar.
• Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit theory and practical design.
• Familiarity with lab testing tools like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, etc.
• Understanding of DFM / DFT / DFA best practices in a defense context.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Compensation : Compensation at SimVentions is determined by various factors, including experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $85K - $155K (USD), reflecting the standard salary range for this role and one component of the overall compensation package offered by SimVentions.
