Firefighter Recruit
The City of Mayfield is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter Recruit. As a dual role service applicant will be required to be a minimum of a Kentucky certified EMT. Advanced EMT or Paramedic desired. Applicant will be required to have a valid CPAT card. Duties required will be responding to 911 EMS, Fire, Rescue and non-emergent EMS calls. Other daily tasks will include but are not limited to training, station chores, maintaining cleanliness and readiness of trucks as well as report writing and EMS charting. Applicant will be scheduled to work a 24 / 48 schedule.
Applicant must possess valid CPAT and EMS license as stated above. Some consideration may be given to students enrolled in EMS course pending testing and completion. Active KY career firefighters may be exempt from CPAT requirement.
Applicants Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
Applicant must have a valid KY Drivers License.
Applicant must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

Starting pay is as follows :
Additional pay earned with longevity and advancement in rank.
