Finance Manager (FP&A Manager)

Job Summary/Company:
The FP&A Manager will report directly to the General Manager and oversee a team of 2–3 employees. This position plays a critical role in the organization by owning all financial reporting, leading forecasting activities, and serving as the primary liaison to the corporate finance team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive financial performance, support strategic planning, and strengthen operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain full ownership of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow/Net Working Capital.
• Collaborate with local leadership to develop and deliver the Annual Financial Plan.
• Lead profitability reviews and forecasting discussions, offering insights that guide results-oriented decision-making.
• Identify and implement operational and financial improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of 2–3 office staff to ensure timely and accurate execution of responsibilities.
• Oversee financial reporting for projects, maintenance contracts, and enhancement work, including profitability analysis and pipeline management.
• Manage the monthly close process; review monthly results for accuracy and explain variances against forecasts.

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a related industry (engineering, construction, design/build).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks and Tier 2 ERP systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite).
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated experience leading a small team.
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
