Job description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring Radiation Therapist in Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

The Radiation Therapist would be working for a Major Healthcare System and has career growth potential.

Radiation Therapist Highlights :

  • Schedule : 8a – 4p
  • Pay Range : $48-52 Hourly
  • Strongly preferred : experience with IMRT, 3D, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT

Radiation Therapist Responsibilities :

  • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately while operating treatment units with minimal supervision. Maintain visual and audible communication with patients during treatment.
  • Perform daily LINAC and CT QA, monthly CT QA, and accurately execute IGRT, SBRT, and portal imaging.
  • Conduct CT simulations for radiation therapy following department protocols; construct immobilization devices and utilize IV contrast when needed.
  • Perform respiratory gating, ACQ sim, SBRT simulation, and construct electron / cerrobend blocks. Accurately complete procedure verification in MOSAIQ prior to simulation.
  • Serve as Lead CT Therapist when assigned : train staff in CT / simulation procedures, respiratory gating, QA, mould room duties, and ensure physician forms are available.
  • Maintain and verify MOSAIQ for daily treatment management, including schedules, prescriptions, DRRs, imaging, and physics / physician planning parameters.
  • Attend weekly chart rounds, coordinate inpatient transportation via McKesson, and utilize Quality Check List for reviews.
  • Follow departmental policies, dress code, and safety standards, practicing ALARA principles for radiation protection. Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and report equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Safely operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery, create electronic IGRT documentation, and manage shift tracking in MOSAIQ.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments, prescriptions, and patient setup. Record monitor units daily, verify treatment parameters, and document changes as needed.

    • Radiation Therapist Qualifications :

  • Successful completion of an approved course in Radiation Therapy.
  • ARRT certification and registration required.
  • Experience with IMRT, 3D, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT strongly preferred.
