Structural Engineer – P.E. (Atlanta, GA)

Overview

We are seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (P.E.) with experience in the design and management of complex building projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, innovative structural solutions for clients across a wide range of sectors, including Civic & Cultural, Commercial, Education, Entertainment, Healthcare, and Hospitality .

This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines on both new construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design and analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-framed buildings.
  • Prepare, review, and stamp structural drawings, calculations, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
  • Conduct site visits, field inspections, and condition assessments to evaluate structural performance and support construction administration.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior engineers and CAD / Revit designers.
  • Participate in proposal preparation, fee estimation, and project planning.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
  • Stay current on industry codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, TMS) and sustainable design practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (Georgia or ability to obtain through comity).
  • 5+ years of experience in structural design for building projects.
  • Candidate must have previous experience in the structural design of wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, ETABS, RAM Structural System , or similar design software.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
