Oracle Database Administrator (U.S. Citizens Only)

As principal database administrator, you will be responsible for architecture build and maintenance of new and existing databases hosted in on-premises environments as well as cloud platforms. You will contribute to the transformation journey of our solutions, providing high-level expertise in the database field, proactive operational support, and acting as liaison for the team and PCI to ensure maximum satisfaction of our internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues impacting database environments and monitor databases and error logs
- Analyze queries for efficiency and provide improvements
- Identify and resolve database locks, missing statistics, data structure issues, and invalid objects
- Deploy patches across database environments
- Resolve data pump import / export issues
- Document service requests, changes, incidents, and maintain diagrams, architectural documents, SOPs, and run books
- Collaborate with DBAs, developers, vendors, and professional organizations; support after-hours emergencies and deployments as needed
- Serve as SME for database implementations and projects; provide high-level service to internal and external customers
- Automate operational processes in compliance with security requirements
- Innovate by implementing and supporting scalable, highly available production infrastructure for different RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Develop and implement database administration strategies and monitoring / support solutions; stay current with new technologies
