Position Overview

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing tax compliance and planning for the organization. This role involves managing tax filings, ensuring adherence to tax regulations, and providing strategic tax advice to maximize financial efficiency. The Tax Manager will lead a team of tax professionals and collaborate with other departments to optimize tax strategies and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Conduct research on tax issues and stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Review and approve work papers and supporting documentation prepared by tax staff.
• Assist with audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Provide training and mentorship to tax team members.
• Utilize tax software, including CCH ProSystems and GoFileRoom, for efficient tax preparation and documentation.
