• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed, 13-26 week contracts available
• Patient ratios of 1 : 6-7
• Floating required as needed with potential to float every shift
• 5-6 weekend shifts required (every other weekend)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed, no RTO during first week
• 24 hours of unit orientation required
• Navy scrubs required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• Minimum 2 years experience required, will accept first-time travelers
• Telemetry AND PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown experience required
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required
• Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, Pre / Post Cardiac Surgery, and sheath removal experience required
• Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, central line / PICC line management
• Cardiac drip titration experience (Diltiazem, Amiodarone) required
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS
• Preferred certifications : NIH, charge experience
• Must have teamwork approach and adhere to strict call-off policy
• May be assigned to Storm / Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week
• Epic charting system experience preferred Facility : This regional medical center specializes in comprehensive cardiac care with a 43-bed telemetry unit that monitors cardiac patients. The facility provides advanced cardiac services including cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery, and specialized cardiac drips management. The unit treats patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and pacemaker / ICD implantations, utilizing specialized equipment like TR Bands and Femstop devices. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
