Job Summary : As a Registered Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for your assigned patients in the infusion and specialty settings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive support to patients while addressing their needs and those of their families.
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team to resolve patient and family issues effectively.
- Work with various departments to develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
- Implement, evaluate, and adjust care plans based on individual patient needs, particularly concerning vascular access.
- Utilize your skills in intravenous insertion, assessing both peripheral and central line access.
- Operate medical equipment, including point-of-care ultrasound devices and intravenous infusion pumps, as needed.
- Ensure adherence to department policies and interpret laboratory results to manage patient care safely.
- Document patient care activities and communicate any changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Leverage the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to manage treatment and therapy plans.
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to provide age-appropriate and clinically effective nursing care.
- Maintain a vigilant and safe work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience :
Graduation from an accredited nursing school or an equivalent educational program.No prior experience required.Physical Requirements :
Frequent standing, walking, and speaking.Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use.Frequent use of vision and hearing for patient assessment, alarms, and communications.Occasional patient handling and driving.Licenses and Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by a Compact State.Registered Nurse license valid in Oklahoma.Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN) or equivalent specialty certification.Work Shift : Day Shift
