Sr. Oracle 11g / 12c Spatial DBA

Position : Senior Oracle 11g / 12c Spatial DBA

Location : Lansing, MI

Duration : 12 months

Skills Required

• Experience with Oracle Spatial
• Provide support for growing Oracle Spatial needs, including installation, tuning and trouble shooting
• Assist in the implementation of Oracle Statewide Standards
• Experience with Oracle 11g , 12c
• Working knowledge of DDL, DML, PL / SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints and cursors
• Proficiency with Oracle performance tuning
• Proficiency with database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN…..
• Ability to analyze and design physical databases and their definitions
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing
• Experience with installation, configuration and upgrades of vendor-supplied software, including contacting vendor on enhancements and problems.
• Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
• Excellent written / verbal communication and documentation skills
• Able to work independently and deliver high quality results when given a set of requirements
• Experience with Oracle on Solaris

Skills Preferred

Experience Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering; or a Bachelor's degree in a related field appropriate for the assignment plus five years of experience.
