Principal Investigator Archaeologist

We are seeking an experienced Principal Investigator (Archaeologist) to join our growing cultural resources team in Round Rock, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to lead and co-manage Phase I-III archaeological projects across Texas and neighboring states, conduct fieldwork, analyze artifacts, and contribute to high-quality archaeological reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in preserving historic and prehistoric resources while helping to expand our cultural resources practice.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage small to medium archaeological projects or co-manage large projects.
• Serve as field lead for Phase I-III fieldwork, including site identification, excavation, and data collection.
• Analyze historic and prehistoric artifacts, features, and field samples.
• Prepare, review, and write portions of archaeological reports and site documentation.
• Assist in project planning, decision-making, and resolution of adverse effects on archaeological resources.
• Collaborate with field crews, lab staff, senior archaeologists, and administrative staff to ensure project quality standards are met.
• Support business development through proposals, budgets, and project planning materials as needed.
