Job description

Kaukauna Utilities is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Stores & Utility Technician to join our team. This role is essential in keeping our operations running smoothly by managing inventory, supporting purchasing functions, and assisting with warehouse and utility tasks.

The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and ready to take on a mix of storeroom, purchasing, and occasional field support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track inventory in a computerized system.
  • Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials safely and efficiently.
  • Process purchase orders and vendor quotes.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments and deliveries.
  • Support transformer testing, storage, and disposal.
  • Operate equipment (forklift, skid steer, backhoe, bucket truck, etc.).
  • Assist with grounds, facility maintenance, and utility emergencies as needed .

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with inventory systems, purchasing, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Computer skills (Windows, Excel, Access, accounting software).
  • Ability to work outdoors in all conditions and safely operate utility equipment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with CDL endorsement required.
