JOB SUMMARY
This role is part of the Middle Office group, located in Brentwood, TN, reporting to the Director, Middle Office. The position is responsible for accurately reporting, monitoring, and analyzing the risks and volumes associated with physical and financial trading positions. The Middle Office is part of the Finance organization and independently monitors portfolio parameters within Board-approved risk management policies and guidelines, while also supporting the Commercial Organization's strategic goals and margin targets. The Middle Office group is a primary user of Delek's ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) system, which integrates business processes, organizational accountabilities, reporting, and workflows associated with managing market exposure and commodity risk.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4-year / Bachelor's Degree (Required) In lieu of the above education requirement, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Four (4) or more years of experience in industries such as Commodities, Energy, or Refining (Required). No Licensure or Certification required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Commercial Operations, Middle Office, and Accounting with financial, volumetric, and risk reporting and analysis. Utilize problem-solving skills to understand deal errors or anomalies in the portfolio that are inconsistent with market trends. Perform risk policy compliance tracking and identify variances to approved policies. Provide explanations of market movements due to conditions or dynamics impacting the industry. Accurately categorize and explain all economic and positional changes. Publish a daily P&L change report for assigned trading strategies. Build and maintain forward and market curves in RightAngle. Adhere to financial controls, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and completeness of portfolio profitability, volumetric positions, and market risk. Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Middle Office, Accounting, Legal, and Management, demonstrating senior-level analytical abilities in financial, volumetric, and risk reporting. Execute processes and controls to support a growing business strategy, creating efficiencies to handle increased transaction volume. Analyze, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions to assist end-users with RightAngle system-related challenges. Proactively improve and automate existing processes to increase efficiency. Develop collaborative working relationships across Delek. Regularly utilize ETRM software systems. Report on P&L and exposures for both physical and financial trading, preferably in an energy-related commodities field. Demonstrate familiarity with commodities exchanges and trading platforms (CME, Platts, Argus, OPIS, etc.) and price irregularities. Understand Value at Risk (VaR) concepts. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a focus on financial and energy-related modeling. Understand futures contracts and forward curve dynamics such as time spreads, contango, and backwardation. Knowledge of swap contracts and basis spreads. Experience with asset valuation, including pipeline arbitrage and refinery crack spreads.
