POSITION SUMMARY :

Pepper Construction is looking for qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about the construction industry to experience life with a commercial general contractor.

You will be paired with a Project Manager and / or Superintendent on one of our construction teams. You will work directly with many aspects of project management, including but not limited to, processing submittals, take-offs, potentially preparing budgets and attending job site / owner meetings. We intend to expose you to real-life situations in the field and in the office. You will also be involved in training sessions, jobsite tours and safety. You will gain hands-on experience with a reputable general contractor in the Indianapolis Area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Current college student entering their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year studying Construction Management or a similar discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technology
  • Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation to and from work-related activities and assignments
  • Ability and desire to work on an active construction site in central Indiana
