American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position, requiring scrub experience and an active IN or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Cath Lab of a hospital settingShift is 4x10 hour days, 6 : 45 AM to 5 : 15 PMCall is required a minimum of 2 days per week and every 3rd weekendDaily patient census averages 5-7Procedures include cardiac (LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, pacers, pericardial effusion, STEMI) and interventional radiology (venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, PE, DVT, TIPS, PV, fistula work, UFEs, prostate embolizations, internal bleeding)Specialized equipment used : Acist injector, Siemens and Philips C-arms, Medrad power injector, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shockwave, Rampart, Pneumbra, InariEMRs used are Cerner and McKessonFloating is required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitalsHandles a variety of cardiac and interventional radiology procedures, including emergencies such as STEMIWorks as part of a collaborative Cath Lab team using advanced imaging and procedural equipmentMust work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignmentScrub experience is strongly preferredRTO (requested time off) up to 5 days outside of holidays is automatically approved; requests beyond that require facility approvalFirst time travelers accepted if they meet the experience requirementDress code : Scrubs as required by Cath Lab standards\n \n Requirements\n
Active IN or compact RN license in hand before start dateMinimum of 1 year Cath Lab RN experience required; first-time travelers must have at least 3 years of experienceCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications required; AHA and RQI acceptedCertifications such as ARRT or RCIS requiredAbility to circulate and perform conscious sedationExperience with Cerner charting requiredGraduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited universityTwo supervisory references required for considerationIN residents are considered localFormer perm or PRN staff must be away from the facility for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler\n Benefits\n
