Lead Immigration Coordinator, Global

Under the supervision of a manager on the Global Team, the Lead Immigration Coordinator supports the Global Department with Global practice support and training, handling assigned casework, supervising and mentoring junior staff, improving operational practices, and any special projects assigned by the management.
Primary responsibilities include :
- Leadership and Mentorship : Assist and / or lead projects relative to maintenance or improvement of Global practices or resources; provides guidance to junior staff through mentoring and advice on case strategy, client communications, immigration knowledge, and other relevant work; responsibilities; facilitates dissemination of best practices, consular updates, new team initiatives, and other relevant information / practices within the Global program; partake in projects and / or proactively seek out areas for improvement for the program, and provides advice / suggestions / solutions to appropriate channels, i.e. Knowledge Management, IT, Cobalt Support Team, Global Manager(s), etc.; assists in monitoring operations, work product, communications, and reporting to ensure quality standards are met per firm-wide expectations; take the lead on finding solutions to work-related issues including casework escalations; identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it; seeks out others involved in situation to learn perspectives and previous practice; provide input on personnel performance reviews; complete other related leadership and mentorship duties as assigned.
- Practice Support : Create and / or maintain Global general resources including Standard Operating Procedures, guides, templates, universal tools and information; create and / or deliver assigned Global training sessions; prepare and / or analyze internal reports; provide assistance and guidance to Immigration teams for region-specific projects or requests including group projects, audits, bulk requests / edits, etc.; observe and work alongside junior staff to adhere to BAL policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the program's streamlined practices are observed; assists in monitoring operations, work product, communications, and reporting to ensure quality standards are met per firm-wide expectations; complete other related practice support duties as assigned.
- Casework Support : Support intake duties including initiation reviews, determining services and fees, completing assessments and assigning cases for team. Maintain an active caseload, continue to uphold a high-level of client service standards, and ensure all necessary information is accurate in Cobalt; may be asked to focus on complex and difficult cases. Provide guidance and supervision to other colleagues as necessary on casework or at manager's discretion. Assist with Immigration teams on any casework support at manager's discretion. Complete other related practice support duties as assigned.
Secondary responsibilities may include : supporting other Global staff or support other Global Immigration Teams at Manager's discretion; other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications include :
