Current Utility Workers Contract Hourly Pay Range : $31.24 - $39.63 per hour (depending upon qualifications)

Class Summary

Under general supervision, the Broadband Technician performs skilled work in constructing, operating and

maintaining the City of Hudson’s broadband fiber network. This includes testing, repairing, and installing

various broadband equipment and components, sometimes near energized power lines. Responsibilities

encompass a wide range of activities, including fiber optic splicing, aerial and underground construction,

and the operation of specialized tools and equipment. The position may require assisting Lineworkers and

performing duties of lower or equal classifications. Works under the close supervision of the Assistant

Superintendent or their designee for daily and / or weekly task assignments.
