Clerk, Receiving
Overview
A luxury resort property is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to support daily operations within the Procurement and Finance departments. This role ensures the accurate
and efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming goods while maintaining compliance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Verify all incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices, and dispatch notes to ensure accuracy in quantity, quality, and pricing.
Inspect deliveries for damage, proper labeling, expiration dates, and compliance with hygiene standards.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance, and Culinary teams to track pending items and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain organized records of all receiving documentation, reports, and filing systems.
Support inventory management processes, including assisting with physical counts and audits as required.
Ensure all products are stored in the correct temperature-controlled environments and that rotation practices are followed.
Maintain cleanliness and order in all receiving and storage areas.
Uphold confidentiality in all matters relating to resort operations and financial records.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar receiving or inventory control role, ideally within a hospitality or resort environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination.
Food Handler’s Certification (mandatory).
Basic computer literacy for report preparation and record maintenance.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in varying conditions.
