The Opportunity

Lesley Universitys Graduate Department of Counseling and Psychology is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach : GCOUN 6205, Assessments for Counseling and Psychology. Weekend intensive : April 10-12; May 8-10 . Fully in-person, on-campus.

Course Description :

This course is designed to provide an overview of tests (cognitive, aptitude / interest, projective, and neuropsychological) currently used with adults. While some background in test construction and measurement concept is presented, the primary emphasis is on test usage : when to test, test selection, administration and scoring / interpretation. The utility of psychological testing as well as limitations are discussed.

Qualifications and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have :

Master's degree in psychology or relevant field (required); PhD (preferred)

Relevant experience and training to administer psychological testing; Familiarity with assessments across lifespan (preferred)

Previous successful experience teaching at the graduate level (prefered)
