Dayton Children's Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting for a full time Developmental Behavioral pediatrician or Neurodevelopmental pediatrician to join our growing team of 7physicians and 3 nurse practitioners in our Division of Developmental Pediatrics. Responsibilities include diagnostic and follow-up services for patients with a variety of developmental and behavioral concerns. There are opportunities for program development, leadership, clinical research and teaching with The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate must be BC / BE in developmental pediatrics and hold, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted Ohio medical license. Specific interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Complex ADHD or Assessment of Young Children with Global Developmental Delay is desirable.
Dayton Children's Hospital is a free-standing, multidisciplinary regional referral center. The Division of Developmental Pediatrics provides a range of services for children with developmental and behavioral problems. Our programs include :
Additional on-site providers (current and future) include Psychologists, LCSWs, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists. We have a strong collaborative relationship with the divisions of Psychology and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Our practice is strictly outpatient and patients are seen at two locations; the main campus near downtown Dayton and The Child Health Pavilion, a new outpatient facility located just down the street from the main hospital. In June of 2019 we moved into this brand-new facility devoted to complex / foster care clinics, primary care clinic, healthy weight clinic and Developmental Pediatrics, embracing the tremendous growth and need of our community. We have strong partnerships with the community for the development of our programs.
Dayton Children's Hospital offers a variety of employed pediatric subspecialists, including Neurosciences, Clinical Genetics, Orthopedics, Endocrine / Diabetes, Pediatric Cardiology, ENT, Allergy, Adolescent Medicine, Pulmonary services including a certified Sleep Clinic, Gastroenterology, Urology, Nephrology, Plastic Surgery, and others.
Dayton Children's serves a pediatric population of 510,000 from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. A new, eight-story, 260,000-square-foot patient care tower sits in the center of the hospital's current campus. There has also been a major expansion of the Dayton Children's Hospital Outpatient Care Center and Urgent Care in Springboro, Ohio, including a medical office building, a pediatric emergency department, an outpatient surgery center and a Sleep Lab.
