Job descriptionPosition is based in a hospital setting functioning as a Resource Float RN Will float between Med / Surg Telemetry and general Medical / Surgical units as needed 12-hour night shifts with requirements for every other weekend scheduling or as needed by the unit No on-call responsibilities are required Travelers must work at least 2 of the 4 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Day Epic EMR is used and recent experience within the past two years is mandatory No block scheduling is permitted Provide care for adult med / surg and telemetry patients across multiple units as assigned Bi-weekly orientations typically held on Mondays Candidates must explain any employment gaps over 90 days Reliable personal transportation is required as public transportation is not available in the area Vehicles must be equipped with all-season or snow tires between November and April Holiday coverage is required for at least two major holidays during the contract Local candidates are accepted, with compensation adjusted based on distance from the facility Active VT or compact RN license required or ability to obtain promptly upon offer AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, with NIHSS needed prior to start Minimum of 2 years of med / surg tele nursing experience is required Prior travel nursing experience is required Experience in an academic teaching hospital environment is necessary Epic charting system experience within the past 2 years is nonnegotiable Orthopedic or PCCN certifications are preferred but not required High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
