American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical / Surgical Telemetry Float Pool position requiring a MO or compact RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the float pool covering medical, surgical, renal, oncology, neuro, and cardiology units within a short-term acute care settingPatient ratios are 1 : 5-6 for days and weekends, 1 : 6 for nightsWork schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts from 6 : 45 to 19 : 15 with every other weekend or at least 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule and a holiday rotation requirementNo on-call responsibilitiesFloating is required within all medical units and potentially to affiliate hospitals as neededFloat process may include pre-assignment and workers are required to call for specific shift assignment up to 1 hour before shift startEPIC EMR is used; Epic experience preferredUse of lift devices, ceiling lifts, and bladder scanners is required (training provided)Navy blue scrubs are requiredResponsibilities include providing nursing care across a broad range of units, including med / surg, telemetry, renal, oncology, neuro, and cardiologyWill work with a diverse healthcare team and float based on facility needs and patient censusMandatory completion of online modules and orientation before startRTO cannot exceed 7 days per 13-week contract and is not allowed during the first week of assignmentHoliday rotation coverage is requiredFree employee parking is available on siteAssignments may extend up to 18 months for standard travelers, with a mandatory 3-month break afterPermanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as travelersReferences may be requested during consideration\n \n Requirements\n
