Lead Medical Assistant
We are seeking a highly professional Lead Medical Assistant with exceptional customer service skills to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced fertility clinic. This role combines core medical assistant responsibilities with leadership duties, including scheduling, training, and serving as the primary point of contact for the medical assistant team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform medical assistant duties on the floor in a lead capacity
- Support scheduling and training of medical assistant staff
- Serve as the go-to resource for the medical assistant team
- Check patients in and room them for appointments
- Enter patient data into the electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures and blood draws
- Coordinate with onsite providers and respond to patient-related inquiries
Required Skills & Experience :
MUST HAVE experience as a Lead Medical Assistant or managerial roleStrong phlebotomy skillsExperience in a lead or supervisory roleExcellent customer service and interpersonal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications :
Phlebotomy certificationExperience working in a fertility clinic or similar fast-paced healthcare settingFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR / EMR) systemsWork Environment :
Based in a busy fertility clinic in ManhattanTeam includes 12 Medical Assistants and 4 Providers, with each provider seeing approximately 15 patients dailyMondayFriday schedule, with start times between 6 : 00 AM and 8 : 00 AM for an 8-hour shiftMay require 12 weekends per month on a rotating basisOpportunities for internal promotion and career growthBenefits provided through Actalent while on contract may include :
