Summary of Job Duties :

This position is responsible for the operation maintenance and repair of the Campus (DES) District Energy System that serves the medical educational and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. These systems are vital to the safety comfort and general well-being of patients students and employees. This position is also responsible for assisting with all problems and / or emergencies relating to facility issues on the UAMS Campus.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED plus 1 year of relevant experience in HVAC Systems Maintenance Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Power Plant Operation Plumbing and Piping Systems Stationary Engineer Role Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance or boiler operation.

Boiler Operator Certification.

Must have a valid Drivers License with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record.

Intermediate computer program proficiency.

Knowledge of central plant systems.

Watchkeeping and rounding documentation.

Certificates Licenses Registrations :

Have a boiler operator license with experience in steam and hot water boilers.

Preferred Qualifications :

HS / 5 years of experience with a license.

Experience operating a District Energy Plant.

Operations of BMS controls experience.

Centrifugal Chiller experience.

Siemens Desigo.

Knowledge of central plant operations.

Medium voltage electrical safety.
